The purpose of the Southeastern Amazon Business Prime accountThe Southeastern University Amazon Business Prime Account allows employees to purchase items for University purposes where the cost must be charged on the SEU P-Card, allocating costs to the respective department. All University purchases made on the Amazon Business Prime Account are exempt from sales tax, saving the department and university valuable budget dollars. The benefits of an Amazon Business Prime Account include:
Account users must log into the Amazon Business Prime Account using the @seu.edu email address. This account and the @seu.edu email address may not be used for personal shopping with Amazon.
Amazon purchases for Southeastern University must be made using the Amazon Business Prime Account credentials (@seu.edu email address). All purchases made for University purposes are required to reflect normal and customary University business expenses and are subject to audit. Do not use personal forms of payment for any purchases made for the University. Account users must submit original receipts and reconcile the applicable P-Card allocation.
Personal purchases are not permitted on Amazon using the @seu.edu email address. A personal Amazon account must be established using a personal email address.
Amazon charges an Annual Membership Fee, and a small portion of that fee, $15.00, is assigned to each department’s account holder. The account holder’s Annual Membership Fee is charged to the employee’s respective department.
It is the responsibility of the department supervisor to notify the Finance Office if a card-holding employee leaves his or her position. The membership is non-transferable.
